Education

Slough High School and College of Further Education, gaining a variety of 'O' and 'A' level G.C.E.'s.

Occupation/Career

I had a career in the Meteorological Office mainly serving at Heathrow Airport, where I met my husband David, until I moved 'north' after our marriage in 1963 to a newly built house in Orchard Way. I have had an assortment of jobs since then, to fit in with bringing up our son and daughter. These include Horticulture, Market Research and teaching computer skills to older people.

Personal circumstances

I now have 3 grandsons aged from 10 to 25 to bring us enjoyment

Background

Interests

My main interests lie in Gardening and Handicrafts. I spent 40 plus years helping my husband with his Scouting activities (he started Sea Scouting in Cogenhoe).
I am a member of St. Peter's Church, Ladies' Fellowship, The Heritage Society, the Playing Fields Management Committee and Northampton U3A

Council Role

I have served on the Parish Council since 1984 apart from a 3-year break when David's occupation sent him to Hong Kong.

Why I joined the Council

To give me the opportunity to get local problems dealt with and support parishioners to improve village life.
